About Me

Just a small town girl.

I’m a used to be stay at home mommy/housewife whose life took a sharp right turn into running my own business in 2009.  I own and manage a local news commentary website that I created. It is based out of my tiny hometown (population 684!) in Arkansas.

My husband and I have been married 25 years and we have three gorgeous, smart, all that now grown children, several fur kids including a boxer that is our late in life child.

I have several other websites that I manage, and a part time job.   I have a busy life that I attempt to balance with healthly doses of “me time” which  translates into long baths with the bathroom door locked, reading, or lake time.

I am passionate about many things…

like…..Road trips, route 44 cherry lime-ades, staying up late in a quiet house reading, politics, taking one really good photo, free thinkers,  southern food & southern charm, a good cuddle, my FAMILY, awesome quotes, watching old movies on a rainy day, holiday traditions, swimming, camping ,driving along singing with the radio, The Wizard of Oz, photoshop, fairy tales, dark chocolate truffles, laughter, shiny lip gloss,  & adventures.

My life has held it’s fair share of ups and downs but I am still a believer of dreams and I feel like it’s never to late to change your own life for the better. Better for me means being at peace with myself and my surroundings. I am working on that.

Hence the title “Always Chasing Rainbows”.

Random Quote

Don’t do it, Eleanor told the little girl; insist on your cup of stars; once they have trapped you into being like everyone else you will never see your cup of stars again; don’t do it; and the little girl glanced at her, and smiled a little subtle, dimpling, wholly comprehending smile, and shook her head stubbornly at the glass. Brave girl, Eleanor thought; wise, brave girl.
